Generally speaking, large department stores have the best Black Friday deals – because they can afford to lose on one thing, in the hopes you’ll buy others. I’m not featuring actual deals from these, since they are too diverse. Look for electronics, toys, apparel, and more.

Here are some top places to shop and compare prices:

Target – you’ll find some great deals on electronics and toys, but look for across-the-board discounts on Target’s family of brands (such as in the home and clothing department.)
Macy’s – They have some of the best doorbusters online, and great across-the-board discounts as well.
Amazon – their discounts on individual items often compare to the doorbusters in major retailers.
Walmart – They are the kinds of “Black Friday hype” and for good reason, but their website can be hard to shop… so good luck!
Kohl’s – look out for great doorbusters, and some nice everyday discounts
