This sweet little corn craft for preschool is a fun little Thanksgiving craft for kids! This post contains affiliate links.

Fall and Thanksgiving is all about harvest. And, having grown up in an area with lots of corn fields, to me harvest means corn.

Isn’t it adorable how a few craft sticks combined look just like the columns of corn on the cob?

This adorable corn craft for preschool has a cute little face that you can very easily omit if you prefer to make it more realistic.

And if you’d like to outline kernels more realistically, you can just grab some markers and make ’em! You can fill some in with different colors for a Native American flint corn vibe. Or use color-on color. Choose a shade darker than your craft sticks to get a pretty tone-on-tone effect.

Craft this corn craft for preschool as a letter C project, to teach the color yellow, or to teach about Thanksgiving in a vegetarian-friendly way.

What you need

How to make a corn craft for preschool – step by step

1. Line up seven popsicle sticks. The center should be highest, and the rest should each be a little lower than the next on each side.

2. Glue it together on the back. You can use another piece of popsicle stick (shorter than the group is wide) or strips of paper.

3. Cut out two husks from the green paper. The should curve outward a bit in each direction.

4. Glue the husks on the front of the popsicle stick corn. They should cover the bottom, expose the top, and overlap a little on the bottom.

5. Glue on googly eyes.

6. Draw on a small smile if you’d like.

Your corn on the cob is complete! Isn’t it adorable?
