The other day, I was chatting with a friend. I was living in my tiny place still and any time my son played with 3 toys it was already a mess.
We were chatting about how there was no point even in cleaning up – a minute later the mess was back. Most moms can relate.
I said to her “We need to think of it like fairy dust – one day it will go away, and so will all the magic.” That really put things into perspective for us both.
Since then, any time I am fed up with the mess, I think back to this message. It rings so true.
I created a meme to go along with it and many moms related. It was extremely popular and was shared many many times. People said they want to print it, hang it on their fridge, or in their homes as a reminder.

The Fairy Headquarters artwork was hand-illustrated by me and then vectorized/sharpened so that it prints nicely.
It was originally created as part of my fairy coloring pages packet and I decided it would be the perfect artwork to place on this playroom wall art. The colors were chosen for their soft, neutral quality, and the rainbow cloud was softened as well to keep it nursery-friendly.
